Laser welding equipment uses a pulsed laser with a wavelength of 1080nm generated by a laser to radiate the surface of the workpiece after beam expansion, reflection, and focusing. The surface heat diffuses into the interior through heat conduction. By precisely controlling parameters such as the width, energy, peak power, and repetition frequency of the laser pulse digitally, the workpiece is melted to form a specific molten pool. Thus, laser welding of the workpiece can be achieved, and precise welding that cannot be realized by traditional processes can be accomplished.
Laser welding is mainly aimed at the welding of thin-walled materials and precision parts. It can achieve spot welding, butt welding, lap welding, seal welding, etc. It has a high depth-to-width ratio, small weld width, small heat-affected zone, small deformation, fast welding speed, smooth and beautiful weld seams, and no post-welding treatment is required. It can be precisely controlled, with a small focused light spot, high positioning accuracy, and is easy to achieve automation.
So, what issues should be noted when using a laser welding machine?
1. Pay attention to dust-proofing the appearance of the main unit of the equipment and the welding head.
2. Do not stack any miscellaneous items on both sides of the water machine and keep a space of 1 meter to ensure ventilation and cooling.
3. Before daily use, check the protective lens of the welding head first, and then turn on the machine to ventilow.
When inspecting, pull out the protective lens drawer halfway so that you can see the middle position of the lens.
4. If energy attenuation occurs during the welding process, the machine should be stopped immediately and the protective lens inspected. The inspection method is the same as above. Replace any black burn spots in time.
5. Precautions when replacing protective lenses
First, turn off all air-blowing and air-blowing equipment near the welding head. Reduce air flow.
② Use a lint-free cloth dipped in alcohol or acetone to wipe the area around the protective lens drawer clean.
After removing the protective lens drawer, the window of the protective lens drawer should be immediately sealed with masking tape to prevent dust from entering the welding head.
When replacing the protective lens, do not touch the surface of the lens. Instead, hold the side of the lens.
After changing the lenses, use a blowout balloon to blow off the surface dust.
⑥ Remove the sealing masking tape and reinstall the protective lens drawer in the correct direction.
6. Welding should minimize welding fumes as much as possible. If there is too much fume, a dust extraction device should be provided to remove it.
