Disadvantages of cartridge dust collectors:
Due to the V-shaped pleats on the surface of the filter element, the tips of the pleats are prone to damage when compressed air is repeatedly cleaned.
Due to the small space of the V-shaped creases, dust is prone to remain or accumulate at the V-shaped area and cannot be cleaned down, thus clogging the filter cartridge and increasing the filtration resistance, thereby reducing the filtration area. This makes the filter element more prone to damage.
Due to the fact that the filter element is prone to clogging and damage, the replacement frequency will be relatively higher.
The reason for the higher replacement frequency and the higher price of the filter cartridges is that the subsequent maintenance cost of the filter cartridge dust collector will definitely be higher.
